Font Licence Agreement — Mavrakis.Design

1. Intellectual Property & Legal Basis
1.1 All fonts are original creations by Michalis Mavrakis (“Creator”) and are protected under Greek copyright law (Law 2121/1993, Law 2218/1994) and EU Directive 2001/29/EC.
1.2 Fonts are classified as “software” and “intellectual property”, aligning with international legal precedents and practices (e.g. MyFonts, Monotype).

2. Licence Types
2.1 Free Licence: Permits non-commercial, personal use only. Any usage involving revenue, advertising, client work or redistribution is strictly prohibited.
2.2 Standard Licence: Grants commercial use rights for up to 6 desktop installations.
2.3 Extended Licence: Covers apps, server use, video (broadcast or digital), web embedding, games, digital distribution and resale use.

3. Usage Rules & Limitations
3.1 Licences are non-transferable, non-sublicensable and apply solely to the purchasing entity.
3.2 Usage beyond 6 devices requires negotiation for multi-user corporate licensing.
3.3 Any use in stand-alone commercial products (e.g. apps, streaming content, embedded systems) strictly requires an Extended Licence.

4. Updates & Changes
Licences and terms may be updated at any time. Users are responsible for checking the official licence page regularly. Continued use implies acceptance of all updated terms.

5. Penalties for Unauthorized Use
5.1 Any unauthorized use of a font that requires a licence will be charged at:
Fine = 300 × the price of the full commercial licence
5.2 The user is also liable for all legal, administrative and recovery-related costs.

6. Legal Claims & Liability
6.1 In the case of violation:
– Full damages + costs are payable by the violating party.
– The Creator reserves the right to seek civil and criminal remedies including injunctions.
6.2 The burden of responsibility lies solely with the user. No liability is transferred to the Creator for misuse or unauthorised use.

7. Warranty Disclaimer
All fonts are provided “as-is”, with no warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Compatibility across systems or software is not guaranteed.

8. Termination
Licences are perpetual unless otherwise stated. Any breach results in immediate termination and deletion of all files, followed by legal and financial proceedings.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by Greek law. Any disputes shall be exclusively resolved in the courts of Athens, Greece.
