At mavrakis.design, transparency isn’t just a value, it’s a system. Just like every creative decision, the way a project is priced is carefully structured to serve real collaboration. No asterisks. No friction.
I follow a globally recognized payment model through Gumroad, the go-to platform for creators, freelancers, and studios worldwide. The process is legal, automated, and aligned with how modern creative partnerships actually work today.
Clean payments with no overhead
Each project is priced as a final amount, and Gumroad automatically applies VAT only when required, based on the customer’s country and business status (individual or company with a valid VAT ID).
Any applicable VAT is collected and remitted by Gumroad itself under the European OSS (One Stop Shop) system, meaning there’s no involvement on your or my side with invoicing, tax filings, or deductions.
You’ll receive a fully detailed purchase receipt directly from the platform, including:
creator name, project description, date, transaction ID, and Gumroad Inc’s EU VAT registration details, making it 100% deductible as a business expense.
What applies with VAT
Customers in Greece (individuals or businesses): VAT is applied at 24%, as required by EU law. It’s added at checkout and automatically handled by Gumroad.
EU-based companies with a valid VAT number (e.g., DE, FR, IT): No VAT is charged, reverse charge applies automatically.
Customers outside the EU (e.g., US, UK): No VAT is charged at all.
In every case, the customer receives a valid digital receipt that can be recorded as a business expense without extra steps.
